We're in relatively good shape with respect to injuries to start the season, with only pitchers Sam Cooke, Manny Carrasco, and Scott Bynum starting the season on the DL. The most notable thing about our starting lineup are the absences of Kerry Hammond, who's serving as sort of a "super-sub" in the outfield, and Chris Arguello, who will be out for a game or two on the DL, but similarly, we have four good infielders for three positions. Rookie Jessie Puls will start the season in the rotation.

John O'Rourke Jr. thinks we can play .500 ball. The predictions have us finishing 87-75, third place.

We are fifth as far as prospects go. 24-year-old Puls is the #5 prospect overall, and 25-year-old Josh Vitalis is #23.

I've got a good feeling about the season- thinking that we'll break our nearly 50-year postseason drought!
