That should earn ones self a spot on the bench for a quarter or a half.

You're convinced 99% of sports analysts range from suck to mediocre. Then you hear Hubie Brown on the broadcast.........

Klay doing Klay things.

Last night, Laker starters had 44 pts. Klay had 44 by himself. The other 4 Warrior starters combined for 44. The GS bench had 42.

Meanwhile James Harden is hotter than the surface of the sun.

I don't really find him to be that entertaining to watch. But damn is he an effective scorer.

the combo of Doncic and Porzingis will be fun to watch if Porzi comes back to form.
I wanna know which big free agent the knicks are waiting on if they were willing to give up Kristaps so fast

also Pelicans would be crazy to trade AD to the Lakers. Boston has a much better pot and if the Sixers are willing to shell out Simmons + picks they could contend

Doncic & Porzingis is going to be a matchup nightmare.

Nice to know I am right every now and then. I was on the ground floor of the Doncic building and own lots of stock.

Saying the Pelicans didn't act in good faith is a good way to get them to deal with you over the summer Magic.

It would be even more foolish to not wait and see who gets the 1st pick and see if they want to deal. Zion would be an easy sell to your season ticket holders.

Okay, so I've actually managed to avoid all NBA news until I can plow through my backlogged pile of DVRed Clippers games (yes, I'm a masochist; I go back with the team to the Danny Manning days) and I've only just reached the trade deadline.

For the past couple of weeks, I've been aware the Clippers made a trade (the LA Kings announcers alluded to it in their telecast of Feb. 7th; I'm "live" with the Kings, because I'm not recording their games, since I couldn't afford Center Ice as well as NBA League Pass [I no long live in SoCal] and I wasn't going to save the edited reruns), but that's all I knew…

…up until this past Saturday, where, at the start of the Penguins-Flyers stadium series game, Tobias Harris and Boban Marjanovich were introduced as representing the 76ers and I was like "oh…well, I wonder who we got back". And just now, after bidding a fond farewell to Tobias by watching him lead us to a wonderful victory at Charlotte on 2/5 (34 points as the Clips rally from 20 down, late in the 3rd), I put on the next game and discover that our haul for everything we dumped (including the dead wood of Avery Bradley and Marcin Gortat and Mike Scott, so good for that) amounted to…six pieces of dung.

I mean, FFS. I was like "Jimmy Butler? I don't know about that" and "well, it would be nice to have JJ back, but he's not worth Tobias" and instead we get LANDRY FUNKING SHAMET. Oh, joy. Even understanding that it's a salary dump to clear cap space, I was expecting something of value. But apparently not.

Oh, no, you say, now we can sign TWO max players! (Assuming we let Gallinari walk, too.) Yeah, I bet Kawhi Leonard is just wetting himself with anticipation at spending next year trying to pull a team full of nobody but himself, Harrell and Lou Williams up to 35-47 or whatever. And who's the second player supposed to be? Anthony Davis? Kevin Durant? I'll believe that when I see it.

At least the flirtation/near-tampering over Kawhi has a history (what with the Clippers firing Bruce Bowen from his analyst job because Bowen took the Spurs' side against Leonard)…these other names are straight out people's asses. FFS.

Landry Shamet. Go fork yourself, [GM] Lawrence Frank.

(Now watch, maybe they've gotten hot since the trades and are battling for a home-court seeding. But I ain't holding my breath…)
