I have learned of two new names 1. Frank York 1969 Newark Co-pilots camp 2. Dick Gordon 1970 Newark Co-Pilots Camp. Don't know any info or better photos on them. Found these two bad photos. If any info? Would Appreciate

Frank York

When Frank York was with the Newark Co-Pilots in June of 1969, he was a 21-year-old left-handed pitcher from Palmyra, NY. The photo of him comes from an earlier team picture when he was with the James R. Hickey American Legion Post 120 team of Palmyra. It's from the Rochester (NY) Democrat and Chronicle of Sept. 13, 1966.

Dick Gordon

Couldn't find a pro baseball player named Dick Gordon associated with the Pilots, but Apollo 12 astronaut Richard F, Gordon, Jr., a Seattle native, wore a Seattle Pilots cap on his trip to the moon, which began on November 14, 1969. A January, 1970, newspaper article said that Gordon and his crew-mates would be made honorary managers of the Pilots when they arrived in Seattle.

Gerald "Jerry" Hebert

Reasonably sure I have the right guy here. First, I found a posting by a Jerry Hebert that said he was from Abbeville, LA, and he had been in the NY Mets organization. Given Hebert's baseball-reference.com record, that fits our man.

This photo shows a Jerry Hebert who was the coach of the Lafayette, LA, Little League team in 1993. Lafayette is close (20 miles) to Abbeville within the same parish (county) of Louisiana. The photo is from the Lafayette Daily Advertiser of July 27, 1993.

In 2011, Hebert's home was in Lafayette, which suggests further confirmation. See the webpage below:

David Margolius

I regret having to report that the attached is an obituary photo for David Margolius. After baseball, David made an eminent life for himself as a doctor in Acton, Massachusetts, and was Chief of Surgery at Emerson Hospital. His passing was in 2014. The link to his obituary is below, for those who wish to know more about his distinguished career.

Jon Archer & Danny Baker

Not sure that the first names are correct on your recap list, Lumpkin. The Tacoma (WA) News-Tribune of 11/21/1969 reported that the pilots signed a Frank Archer, outfielder out of Oregon State University who was originally from Enderby, British Columbia, and Brian Baker, pitcher from Taunton, Massachusetts. Couldn't find photos of them.

Brian Baker has a B-r.com entry, but no info within it. He didn't play minor league ball. There's a Daniel "Danny" Baker in B-r.com with minor league experience, but he was in the Washington Senators' system, and there's no indication that he was associated with the Pilots or Brewers.

There are no B-r.com entries for Jon Archer or the 1969 Frank Archer.
