A possible solution to short leagues

Being in a league of less than 30 is a big complaint. So why not have leagues of 32?

Example: 334 players in a level. Divide by 30 equals 11 leagues with 4 players left over. Make 2 leagues, leagues of 32. 5-6-5 format in each conference. Here is a nice schedule gmo made years ago:

(see attachment)

Example 2: 384 players in a level. In this case, all the leagues are leagues of 32.

Or lets say you are short 12 teams for having a perfect, no pun intended, set of 30 team perfect leagues.

Just take the next 12 highest winning records from Diamond that didnt get promoted and promote them. Im sure there will be some best record in league diamond teams that lose in the divisional and dont get promoted. It would be a nice bonus for them.

Or even easier. If Perfect is 5 teams short, pull up 5 teams from the Diamond league that short. Then pull up from the Gold to fill the Diamond...keep repeating.

Pay some intern 15/hr to spend 1 hour (more like 10 minutes) Monday morning to do this manually if you can't automate it for whatever reason.

I think the vast majority would rather have full leagues than complain about a few guys that "weren't deserving" being promoted.

Very easy, simple fix.

I like the idea of spreading the weirdness of one bizarre league over several not-quite-normal leagues, but they might prefer going the other way and putting 28 teams in a league, which would let them use real MLB schedules, rather than the fictional schedule GMO built (much as I appreciate his work). They could use any schedule from 1995-1997 and have 3 divisions in each league like we're used to now, with a slight advantage for the 4 teams in the West divisions, or 1993 or 1994 (as scheduled) with 2 divisions of 7 teams in each league, with 10 teams still making the playoffs (WC#1 = #3 seed) so nobody gets cheated out of their 1000 PP playoff bonus.

Incidentally, any even number greater than 362 can be made out of 28s and 30s, so once the leagues are populated, there aren't any tricky scenarios where this solution wouldn't work.

I think it should be easy to have it work in factors of 30.

If you can't do that, then at least make the odd league work properly. You have 12 teams in 1 sub league and 10 in the other, then make 2 divisions in each subleague. Seems simple enough.

Regardless, teams from one sub league shouldn't play teams from the other like what happened in the example already posted.

It's a bug that will get fixed I'm sure.
