What are your thoughts on Action PC Football?

Seems overly complicated to me. And I find the interface to be outrageously clunky.

I bought a few versions years ago. I may have only played it a handful of times each season because it was to hard for a casual fan to wrap his head around. I kept losing interest.

Action PC Football

I love it! I have been playing it for over a decade. I think the one thing where it could be overly complicated is in calling the defenses. There are a lot of people that just call offensive plays for both teams... which is what I do.

Action PC falls into the same trap the Front Office Football and Diamond Mind did. "Look at our game engine it's so great, you'll buy us even if our interface and graphics would only make a Windows XP developer happy". Nope

I agree. In terms of graphics, it's fine. The animation is good, which is really all you need for a football sim like that.

But other than that, APC Football is so cumbersome that it is almost impossible to navigate as a casual player. I'd say learning OOTP is far easier than figuring out that gawdawful interface.
