The Dugout (OOTP15 in its 27th Season)

Current Version: OOTP 15

Since OOTP 13, The Dugout has been a well oiled machine. Now running on OOTP 15, we’ve been through 24 full seasons (started in 2012) and just started our 25th (Friday was opening day of the 2036 season). We started with all the modern day MLB teams and rosters, but have since evolved to the point where there are only a few active real players left in the file. We also expanded from the 30 MLB teams to add 14 NBL (Nippon Baseball League) teams, currently capping our league at 2 leagues and 44 teams. Despite being a fairly large and long running league, GM turnover is minimal at best. We still have 15+ managers that have been in the league for 20+ seasons.

Currently we’re on a hybrid 24 hour schedule (switching to 48 hour advances for all of 2 sims the entire season - this is only during the ML draft). We sim 10 (sometimes 11 depending on how months end) days at a time during the regular season. All of our sims are live (we’ve had one sim that was not live in the past 5 seasons) which start at 8 PM EST nightly.

The league itself is also highly modified, with many out of game features we’ve added and track via our forums and Statslab (including a draft lottery, Stadium renovation / rebuilding options, etc.). At the same time we’ve made great strides to keep the league as realistic as possible as the important and basic functions of the MLB are still in tact.

We currently have two ML openings (the Angels and Mets) and are also looking to round out our NBL roster, which has become VERY competitive as of late. Some of the NBL teams budgets are approaching smaller market MLB teams and its making International Free Agency and Offseason Free Agency very interesting.

We’re currently looking for active and mature members to join our family and continue in this long journey we’ve been on for the past 2+ years. If you feel that what we offer fits what you’re looking for in an OOTP league, feel free to PM or e-mail me for more information (please feel free to share your experience with OOTP as well).
