Whoever was looking for Jim Bouton

There was someone who accidentally deleted their Jim Bouton card and wanted another. I've got one if interested.

Wow, haven't seen a Bouton card at all so far. I finally read his book late last year....was a great read....."It makes a fella proud to be an Astro"

I'm guessing that 99% of them get quick sold upon pack opening. A 41 card, hmmm.

Ok, that would explain it. He won like 2 games in the 1964 world series. Surprised he's that bad. He was an excellent pitcher until his arm basically fell off and he had to develop a knuckleball to even stay in the league for a couple of years.

Jim was still playing in an amateur league and a vintage baseball league just a few years ago.

Thanks, I found him

Got him for 40 PP last season, and put him long relief for an also ran team. He finished the season 1-0, with an ERA about 5. He's inactive this year. I don't want to ruin his perfect record.

Sadly I read that Jim had a stroke in 2012 and has signs of dementia.

I saw that last night and it makes me very sad. He is an interesting fellow.

Got to meet him and watch a Mariners game with him back in 2000. Great guy. We talked about Ball Four and baseball in general. He hadn't been back to many games at that point since losing his daughter a few years earlier to a car crash.

Yea, he wasn't your cookie cutter ballplayer. I'm rooting for the guy as it sounds like he's struggling.
