Historical League Simulation Minor Expansion?

So I've been running this Historical league now since the "dawn of baseball", with league expansion enabled... but the game doesn't actually add minor league teams right? Is there a way to get it to add minor leagues, or do I have to add them manually? (which seems daunting, and I'm not 100% sure of how to do that faithfully.)

if you've got the historical game set-up to include expansion, in 1919 you should automatically get the Texas League to appear. Negro Leagues in 1920 (or is it 21?) And the Federal League in 1914 (or 13 - can't recall and not at my game to check) - but the Fed. League only lasted 2 years..... in my tests earlier in the year (i started in 1901) these leagues appeared without any issues.

Well, I started in 1871, and I'm up to 1918 now and no minor leagues have appeared :/

I definitely have Automatically Expand League checked under League Settings> Historical, is there another setting I might have missed?

Don't have the game open at the moment but in historical league creation there is an option to include full minor leagues (or wording of that sort). You need to enable it to have minor leagues automatically generated each year starting around 1918

Yup, here's a SS of the historical settings I have been playing with.

I think when you initially set up your game you have to select this option for minor leagues to appear as scheduled...

Ok, starting all over again - definitely have that box checked this time. Fingers crossed.
