Enough of this. Can we PLEASE view hitting/pitching coach ratings without using the editor?

So I've just taken over a new team, and as you do, turned on the commissioner function to search for pitching and hitting coaches. It's the only time I ever use commissioner and I don't bother searching for coaches without it.

And after a few minutes of searching, I thought, 'Wait a second. Why the heck am I still having to do this? Why did OOTP Developments ever think that turning pitching and hitting coaching ratings invisible was a good idea?"

It's been like this for a few years now. What is the game gaining from having these ratings be invisible? It's not like I can track the effectiveness of a coach by using stats as I can with a player. Experience and reputation don't have any correlation with skill. Neither do salary demands entirely. So what data am I supposed to use? That's all I've got.

Do a google search for 'how to pick a good hitting/pitching coach in OOTP', or something like it. In every result, you'll see the answer is either 'cheat', or 'its a crapshoot'. Considering that coaches have a significant effect on player development, we really need something better than this.

I'm not asking to know the exact numbers necessarily. But I'm asking to know more than nothing. I doubt major league teams hire Herp Derp as their hitting coach because, "Herp Derp has said in the past that he likes working with younger players'.

Agreed. It seems like any manager can become LEGENDARY just by being average for long enough. Reputation is really just an analogue for experience.

It would be great if manager/coach ratings came back, but with a fog of war factor that fades away as coaches/managers gain experience. It should be hard to gauge a coach's abilities when they're new, but if somebody has been a terrible hitting coach for 20 years, we should be able to see that on staff search.
