BJBL Headed into its 20th season (2005) Looking for Owners

BJBL is a unique historical/fictional hybrid league that started all the way back in 1986. Each year real life rookies will enter the league (first pick this year Francisco Liriano, followed by Felix Hernandez, Adam Wainwright and Hanley Ramirez) however, in order to have realistic 40-50 round drafts and a sense of player development, the draft classes are supplemented by fictional players who develop on their own in a separate high school academy. The fictionals enter the academy at the age of 14 and stay for up to 4 years, before they are draft eligible, with full stat tracking, giving owners the most information possible before they pull the trigger on an 18 year old stud, or decide to stay with a dependable real life player.

We started in 1986, and have now entered the 2004-2005 offseason, our 20th offseason. We will not be slowing down anytime soon, but would like you to come and join the fun.

We also feature a unique fast-paced, yet reasonable sim schedule for the busy folks. We sim every other day (except smaller sims will be consecutive days) and each sim is generally 2 and a half weeks in length. Giving you the flexibility of not having to check the file every day, but also giving you the flexibility to see your roster changes and callups perform over a decent sized sample before you yank them back to the minors.

Any other questions can be directed to this post or on our forum or on AIM at x31spoonerstreet

Each open team offers its own unique challenges, there are rebuilding projects, teams that need fine tuning, teams that are on their last legs, and in the case of Colorado and Baltimore teams that looks to be powerhouses.

Teams open: Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago (A), Colorado, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, New York (A), San Diego, and Washington

Link gets you to a forum with no boards visible to non-members.
No league reports.
No portal with rules, etc.
