Stat Question

Still new to hockey, so I have no idea what the following statistics mean during match simulation. Next to each player is a (GF: time / SF: time). The times are different for each player and count down accordingly; however, I have no idea what GF and SF are. I think it has something to do with hockey analytics ("sabermetrics for hockey"), but unsure.

Can someone fill me in?

Any help is appreciated.

GF Stands for game fatigue and SF stands for shift fatigue.

So when shift fatigue gets close to 00:00, a line-change is likely going to take place?

Thanks for the help.

I would think so yeah. I had no idea what those stats meant until earlier today. I thought they were some kind of advanced stat haha.

Thanks for the help.
Once either of them hits 0, the player gets some ratings penalties. So the AI will make an effort to get the players off the ice when it's getting close, and to use fresh players where possible. SF will replenish while the player is off the ice (on the bench or serving a penalty) and (slightly) when play is stopped, GF only goes down during the course of a game. Both will have their starting amounts decreased slightly if the player begins the game at less than 100% fitness.
