3 Stars?

Any idea of how these are decided on by the AI?

Recent game, my Flames vs Pitts (2015/16 season).. I won 1-0 in overtime. One of the three stars was Pitts defensemen Adam Clendening, who had a GR of 62, and no game contributions aside from 2 PIM and (somehow) a faceoff loss. On the other hand, Giordano (who wasnt a star) had a 100 GR.

Im rather baffled -_-

As another note, how is GR figured? In the above example, Gio had a 100 GR but his contributions were only a little better than 62 rated Clendening (shot, 2 blocked shots, 1 hit.. no points).

the game rating is primarily based on the role of the player. As for the three stars it is subjective but for a goalie to get a star they have to have a MINIMUM 965 save % with at least 26 shots going 17-17 in a game won't cut it. In close games the losing team usually gets a star typically second but blowouts is usually winning team unless a losing team player has at least a hattrick.
