Lightbulb Windows 2000 Professional OOTP Issue

When I try to SIM a game in OOTP on my Windows 2000 machine it crashes and I get the following error.

"OTP.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program"

I would post the log but I can't find it.

- Make sure you have plenty of free hard drive space.
- Make sure your league directory has the NEWS, EXPIMP, BOX, and LOGOS sub-directorys.
- Make sure in case it is a new or expanded league that there is a correct amount of teams per league or an improper schedule will cause a crash.
- Try a reboot and try to run the game with minimal background programs.
- In case it is a lineup problem changing all teams to CPU controlled and running auto manager should fix that.

There are many other things to try but you gave minimal info so this is what you get first. If you have further related info more help can be provided then. Example: Your relevent system specs like free HD space available, RAM, and processor speed would be handy and a more detailed explanation of the problem such as "Only one league does not work" or "I have never been able to complete even one sim with the game" etc.

Let us know what happens and good luck.
