Best Team Setup For Earning PP

Anyone have thoughts on this? My team hits a ton of homers but that doesn´t seem to earn much PP. Seems like maybe strike out pitching is the thing to aim for for the corner painter and striking out the side achievements?

For me I make most points of my pitching. Although I have made my ballpark factors resemble that of pitchers park.

Two things I would suggest. First edit your ball park factors to what you want. Next, get players that would play well in that park. So a pitchers park may require you to get players that get on base more then players that hit homers all day.

Also you can search the forums for players that are reliable season after season. I have had so many players that are allstars one season but garbage next season.

I'm making an all Yankee team and I have found that Scott Brosius has been my most reliable card. And of course ichiro as well but he isn't a yankee so he will be gone soon.

Yeah I´m torn because my OF defense is incredible and I´d like to just build a massive park and focus on pitching. But my best hitters are also all hitting like .220 with 25 HR. . .

EDIT: BTW, is there a good explanation someplace of how the stadium editing works? Do the dimensions actually matter for things like fielding etc? Or is it just the factors that matter? I seem to vaguely recall reading that the dimensions were purely cosmetic.

I believe that only the factors matter.

I had good success in the lower leagues by going for SP with high stamina & control. That type of pitcher is cheap and should occasionally throw a CG shutout, which seems to be one of the more reliable ways to generate a solid amount of points.

Park factors are a double edged sword. Jack them up too far in one direction and you'll gain PP in that area, but probably lose it on the flip side. Like if you maximize offense you'll get a lot of "contact innings" or whatever but you won't be throwing any Madduxes.

I agree with the pitchers with high stamina and control. I spend much of my PP's on historic pictures since they have great stamina. This allows me to go cheap on my bullpen as I put the stress on the pitchers.
