Best way to start over

So, I won my Bronze League World Series, then missed the Silver playoffs by one game. I wanted to try something different. I sold off everybody to try and acquire only players pre-1940. I was actually in first place through mid-May, then it all collapsed. I knew pitching would be a problem. I decided to add players up through the 1950s to give myself a chance. I don't know if anybody has tried something like this. Anyway, I am now not gaining enough points and I have failed at selling to buy packs. Is it possible to scratch a team and start over next season? I think my only strategy is to go full rebuild and work up that way, or keep my Gehrig's and Carl Hubble's and try and pick up where I can.
What would you do?

2 options....

-if you haven't used up all 3 slots, just make a second team and start from scratch.

or

-put your team in rebuild mode and just take it slow... pick what you want your team to be and work towards it; knowing you aren't going to just throw it together immediately and it's going to take a bunch of seasons to put together.

working on my own pre-ww2 team here... after 5 seasons, I still have 2 players above the 1945 cutoff date, but it's coming together slowly... but if you go this route, know that it's either going to take a whole lot of patience, or some $$ to afford quality historic players that fit the mold.

Basically just sell all and buy new packs. There no mulligan button.

You could always start another account and get a new team

If you're in the silver league and already have a Gehrig and a Hubbell, just build around them. That's a solid foundation.

Since you start with virtually nothing, why would you want to start over?

Yeah, Gehrig+Hubbell is way more valuable than starting over. If you really did want to start over, sell Hubbell for 25k, buy 25 packs, and hope to get something good from that. That's about as close as you can get to a "rebuild".

I'm not sure who you're referring to, but there you go. Use your Gehrig and Hubbell and build up a historical team around those two. Maybe use your next batch of points to improve your pitching. There's a whole bunch of relatively cheap historical starters available in the auction house. For instance, try to grab a Johnny Sain, Elmer Riddle, or George Uhle. All of those pitchers could help you balance out your team.
You've got a nice core, just keep building off that.
