Roy Hartzell got a home run, Sam Crawford got an ejection, and Mordecai Brown got within an out of a shut out as the Superbas beat the Reds 4-1.

Tony Evans, Portland, was named Player of the Week for his A league.

For the bigs it was Honus Wagner, Pirates & Ed Willett, Highlanders

Brooklyn edged up one spot to #7 on the Weekly Power Rankings.

Sleepy Bill Burns went the distance, striking out seven, as the Superbas beat the Reds 2-1.

Brooklyn is at .500. The last time they were at .500 they were 28-28.

Christy Mathewson did all he could do but Jack Barry, in his first appearance for Brooklyn, made FOUR errors at 2nd, giving the Reds a 2-1 win.

Mordecai Brown kept them quiet to allow the Superbas to pass New York in the standings.

Bugs Raymond struggled a bit int he 9th but he was masterful for the first 8, leading Brooklyn to a 5-2 win over the Giants.

Christy Mathewson pitched the Superbas to a 6-1 lead over the Pirates before Priske went with Billy Campbell to finish things up. Campbell gave up six runs and lost the game 7-6.

Former Superba Boss Schmidt threw out three runners as the Cardinals beat Brooklyn 3-1.

Johnny Bates left the game after being hit on the hand but it does not seem to be serious. With an off-day tomorrow he will likely be good to go for the next game.
