actually no. car less is a negative and if i said couldn't care less, that is a double negative and that isn't proper grammar.

Less is a expression of quantity relationship, not affirmation or lack there-of.

In his defense, I'd have to say, because of the fact that he posted the link openly here in the forums, he probably didn't know. As long as he takes it down, I don't see the big deal.

but if you COULD care less, wouldn't that mean that you care? Cause if you could care less than you do, that would implicate that you do care about whatever the hell is going on. If you couldn't care less, regardless of it being a double negative, it implies that your level of caring is as low as possible. Makes sense to me. If the double negative bothers you, feel free to say that you care the absolute least.

Better head back to English class buddy.
No way that's a double negative.

"can't won't" or "couldn't don't" would be double negatives, but couldn't care less is DEFINITELY not a double negative.

You botched it dude, so just admit it!

They'll cover double negatives in 6th grade, so just hold on there son, we'll get to it in time.

That is what it was. He stated on the page that he didn't have the game yet (its not out yet?) and the page was sort of a preview. *shrugs*
