2019 Players

I apologize if this is out there... In my speed reading attempt to learn this game asap, I think I read something but now can't find it.

When PT comes out with new players, will that be 2019 season players whose ratings change as the season progresses? or are they static as of a certain point (although this would mean waiting until the 2019 season is over).

For OOTP20 the live cards will change ratings during the season, based on how they are doing in real life.

The 2019 Live cards in OOTP20 will have ratings that get adjusted based on the season results. How and when that is done is not known yet.

I'd love to hear how cards actually get rated, because a lot of times, results are mainly luck based if we're talking a month at a time since the sample sizes are really small. I wouldn't make huge adjustments to a card because of one month of results unless there are scouting reports that go along with good or bad numbers that indicate something really good or bad.

I also want to know if statcast data is going to be used in OOTP at some point.
