My guess would be that you didn't set the paths correctly or didn't choose the correct version of OOTP in the Option screen.

League Directory - This is where your OOTP league is
Game HTML Files - This is the Destination Folder used when making the HTML reports in OOTP.

Something I just find out...The fields in the database that hold the path are set to a max of 50 characters. I'll fix this in the future, but, for now, make sure your paths are less than 50 characters!

matskralc,

Ahh, okay, that would probably be easy enough to do.

Ok, I made certain to save the league in a different folder and I made certain all the dat files are there but I'm still getting an error

The exact message is "File not found: c:\baseball history\data\league.csv"

You need to change that path (I think it's a bug).

It is located in c:\baseball history\data\YEAR\league.csv, with YEAR being the year you're importing, i.e., 1985.

I got it to work.

I'm not in the right place in my season for either my historical league or my current solo league. But I simmed a season with the CBL rosters and then ran it. Took a while to load and run everything, but it worked. Looks really great. I'm disappointed that i haven't been using it all along with my leagues. I can't wait to run it on my real leagues.

Does this do the real, full win shares calculations, or a simplified version? If it's the real thing, wow, that's impressive, and very cool.

When I run this on one of my leagues which has some history, will it be retroactive at all? Will it show all the years in the past that someone placed in the top 10 in homers (as it currently does in the Almanac)? Will it calculate Win Shares for previous seasons?

thanks all for helping me stagger my way through the technical aspects of it.

You can import career stats, but you'll lose some of the depth (no splits, etc.). If you have a backup of each season after the playoffs, you can restore each season in succession and then run CatoBase, which is what I'm doing right now.

In the c:\history file try creating a folder named "data" before you run the program I had to do this in order to make it work

Just got a run-time error '53': file not found right after it exported the parks, grrr. I've tried this for multiple leagues and the same thing pops up

But thats the output file not the input file. And I tried adding it manually and I find it still says "cannot find files".

When hit the import stats button I get a "Run time error 76 Path not found." Catobase then shuts down.

OK, do I need to use a mod exporter on the data first? I noticed another threat here talking about an OOTP exporter. I got the impression all I needed was to backup the league and do the export internet data thing already in the game.

quote from cato (I asked the same question):

"It comes with the Exporter programs it needs."

So no.... we do not need any other program.
