I suggest red and blue for Montréal, with white as transition.

Okay, I know you already had the style and layout that you were looking for in the logos supplied already, but I took the opportunity to play around and come up with something I call the "fancy simple" logo concept.

A departure for me, as normally I do almost all of a logo in CorelDRAW. In this case I only did the basic layout in that app, and did all the styling and colouring work in Photoshop.

You can't quite make out the chisel effect in the final 150x150 size as compared to the working size, but I found it interesting nonetheless. The idea for consistent styling is for the baseball and stitching to always stay the same colour. The background would then be one of the two primary colours for the team, while the central letter on top of the baseball and the surround type to become the second colour of the team.

Anyway, for your consideration, two "fancy simple" logo versions for Brooklyn. The version below uses an old-style script font for the 'B'.

Below is the same logo but with a more modern, simple serif typeface for the 'B'.

I did the Las Vegas club logos as well for comparison purposes. The background is supposed to be silver, but because of the texture the silver colour doesn't really come through very well. However, I couldn't use silver for the type because it didn't supply enough contrast for the chisel's highlighting and shadowing effects.

Anyway, here is the old style script version:

Le Grande-

Love that first Brooklyn logo with the old style font. What is that font called, and where is that baseball logo from?

Thanks-

Those look great LGO,(modern ones are amazin) I'm sure someone will have use for those, they're amazing.

But since I have so many to request (still have 21 more) I want to keep it easy and simple for NMleague, Knuckler, or anyone else kind enough to contribute.

The font is called, "EngrvrsOldEng BT," which I believe translates out to Engravers Old English as its full, non-Windows shortened name.

The baseball I created myself in CorelDRAW. I got smart later on and created a version which allows me to quickly and easily change the number of stitches as needed; more for when it's displayed larger and fewer for when it's displayed smaller. The first version of it lacked this useful feature.

Fair enough, but it's easy now to knock out subsequent versions since the template is done. It took me less than 20 minutes to do the two Vancouver versions attached below, and that included 5 minutes of me making a couple of mistakes in the process. Heheh, whoops.

Anyone who is reasonably proficient in Photoshop can do something similar, as it's an easy matter to copy the layer styles from the template file into the file for the newest city logo, and then make small changes as needed.

Anyway, it was enjoyable enough just getting these together. If someone else likes the style and wants to use it for their league, just make the request in a new thread. It's also easy to change "Baseball Club" to the team nickname, if that's preferred.

In any event, as I say about OOTP, more options are always better.
