Uploading league files as a zip-Andreas

Dear Commissioners of online leagues on the OOTP Online League Server,

Uploading the more than 2,000 leaguefiles onto the league's webserver has always been a bothering task for the commish. All of the files are small, but the huge number of files makes it very slow and often the upload stops due to connection errors or something. On the other side it's a lot of traffic, and traffic is a big problem for each internet user because usually there is a traffic limit on the server and it will cost money to exceed it. A big part of the amount of traffic is traffic overhead and so the commish has to transfer much more data than he has in his LEAGUESITE directory...
Everything would be much easier if you could zip the files together into one archive, upload this ZIP file and unzip it "locally" on the server.
And this is what we've set up last week! We've tested it and it runs fine. It work's this way:
- Every 15 minutes the "unzipleaguefiles"-script runs on the server automatically
- It scans the root-directory of each online league and looks for a zip-file which has the same name as the league's abbreviation with a leading "_" and in small caps
- If it finds that file, the file will be unzipped into that league's root-directory
- After unzipping the zip-file, it will be deleted!

Example:
- Let's say your league's abbreviation is XYZ
- On your PC you're having the folder LEAGUESITE with all the html files in it. You want to get them into a folder LEAGUESITE on our server.
- Let's say you're having the file "league.zip", which you would like to put into the folder \files on our server

1. Copy the league.zip into a folder \files on your PC
2. Create a zip-file named _xyz.zip in the root directory of your PC. Check "Store Pathnames" in the zip-file's settings!
3. Using the Windows Explorer, copy the \files-folder into your zip-file. Then copy the \LEAGUESITE-folder into your zip-file, too.
4. If you open the zip-file, there should be the pathname stored with each file.
5. Upload the file to the server into the root directory of your subdomain, i.e. www.xyz.ootp-leagues.com
6. Wait 15 minutes and press the "refresh" button of your FTP client. The zip-file should be deleted now! And the new files should be in their folders.

Of course you use it on your own risk, we are not liable for anything, and each action on our server will be logged.
If you're having any problems with this feature, please contact me.
Please use it, it will help us to save a lot of traffic and it will surely make your commish-job easier!
