Universe Mods

Uniforms/Ballcaps/Logos
I changed the look of the Diamondbacks, White Sox, Marlins, Brewers, Expos, Padres, and Devil Rays. All modifications were done using the reds1 MLB Jersey Project.

The Expos and Devil Rays minor league teams were also changed to their proper looks based on Tiger Fan's Historical Minor League Jersey pack.

The Atlantic League mods were completed thanks to eriqjaffe, Fyrestorm3, and bandforguys.

The NCAA mods were taken mostly from Bristolduke's Feeder System, though he seems unclear where the actual uniforms and ballcaps originated. Most of the images are branded from Isedelyod, but there are also mods from the 2014 NCAA roster and from Robo.

The High School logos/ballcaps/uniforms were all done by me, but keep an eye on Lawn Loaf's thread if you want some really good stuff for High School leagues.

Ballparks
Instead of torturing the Expos with Olympic Stadium for hundreds of years, I put them in the proposed but never built Labatt Park. The Marlins went back to Sunlife Stadium. Those parks were done by silvam14.

I also created a mod for the minor league ballparks - this includes day/night pictures updated from Gambo's ballparks, diagrams, field dimensions, weather patterns, and park factors calculated using StatCorner. Silvam14 did complete some of the parks in 3D which I added to the game and Nielsoncp has been doing some great work with even more 3D minor league parks.

Miscellaneous
Dogzilla has come up with a nameset for basically every culture in human history and created a world file to include them. That's in my game for sure.

I took pstrickert's expanded hints file and removed all the entries that were not friendly to fictional leagues and I use that in my game to help with immersion.

PhantomPlayer expanded the weather database so I threw that in too. There are still a bunch of cities missing which is a project for another day.

Finally, Lawn Loaf just recently posted a link to a Beard Frequency file which is much improved from the default in my opinion.

A new century...a new beginning. The players have all warmed up in Spring Training, the rosters are all set. It's time for Opening Day!

Name: Louis-Alexandre_Darger.PNG

Size: 56.4 KBThe Chicago Cubs and Florida Marlins will play the first game in the league's history, with Louis-Alexandre Darger slated to throw the first pitch.

The first top 100 list is out and Apsuhomya Prusko is the very first number one prospect. (As an aside, something strange happened with the Dominican names for the initial players that were created. It seems to recover once the first generation is gone.) Hai-liang Suhara is the number one hitting prospect.

I'll be tracking special achievements throughout the world...6-hit games, cycles, 3-HR games, etc. Here's the first set while simming forward to the NCAA All-Star voting.

The NCAA All-Star teams have been announced! I've noticed that the NCAA teams did not all fill properly and it is causing some issues with fatigue in the players. I'll keep an eye on it next year and populate the league if needed. I believe what happened was that I switched the age eligibility requirements so a bunch of teams released their players but didn't add new ones in their place.

First no-hitter was pitched by Aanand Stergar for the Dunedin Blue Jays in the Advanced-A Florida State League!

There was also a 7-hit game by Andy Davidson of the Allatoona Buccaneers.

There are multiple 30-game streaks finished or on-going (and I believe much of this offensive output is due to really tired pitching, but the HS/College seasons are almost over).

Draft Top 100

The first MLB Draft Pool has been released. Here are the top 100 prospects. This shows the issue with changing the NCAA age limits. Here's my realism story: The first draft is going to have a bunch of guys in it that need to get drafted anyway, right? They're just the ones who were kind of inbetween when the league started up.

Achievements, May - 1

I'm still trying to figure out to what length I'll go with all of this, let's try the achievements this way.

No-Hitters/Perfect Games:
Gabe Brownstein, Jackson Generals, AA - 0 H, 8 K, 2 BB

15+ Strikeout Games:
Kurt Cheshier, Texas A&M Aggies, NCAA - 15 K
Joe Ramage, Misssissippi State Bulldogs, NCAA - 17 K

6+ Hit Games:
Jake Quinlivan, Fountain Valley Barons, CIF - 6 Hits
Erik Moore, Teutopolis Wooden Shoes, IHSA - 6 Hits
Caleb Klang, Central Catholic Rams, OSAA - 6 Hits

3+ HR Games:

Cycles:
Jeff Somers, Evanston Wildkits, IHSA
Dusty Spinos, Evanston Wildkits, IHSA
Belarmino Laskawski, Evanston Wildkits, IHSA
Mike McElroy, Reagan Rattlers, TUIL

-Yes, one team had three cycles in the same week, including two in one game. There really are some issues with the offense this year.

Hitting Streaks Ended:
Chris Miedema, Hobbs Eagles, NMAA - 36 games
Chris Jackson, Austin Maroons, TUIL - 33 games
Faycal Barete, Alabama Crimson Tide, NCAA - 30 games

1900 MLB Draft

The San Francisco Giants with the very first pick in the draft select...Josh Fowler, Catcher! He has contact, eye, power, and defense. Looks like a cornerstone of their franchise for many years.

The Brewers first 5 rounds: RP Ken Pryce, CF Bobby Robinson, CF Varick Prokler, CF Brad Saunders, and 3B Mat Anderson.

1900 MLB Playoffs

The Minnesota Twins are your 1900 World Series Champions! Led by LF Talbot Petzinger who hit .583 over the 5 games, they handled the Pirates 4 games to 1.

They barely squeaked by the Oakland A's in the League Championship Series. After giving up a 2-0 lead in Game 7, the Twins were able to push a run across in the 11th inning to send them to victory.

1900 Free Agency

Free Agency Filings have happened, here are the top 30 players on the market, led by 28-year-old LF Nate Clements. He is coming off a stellar year where he was selected to the all-star game, won the division series MVP award with the Braves, and won the gold glove in LF. He still has his best years ahead of him and will no doubt demand a large sum.

You're welcome! I've noticed some problems that you may want to look into - all the player contracts are at league minimum in 1900 and when I tried to fix it the first offseason, none of the teams had money for free agents.
