Turns out that of the 20 teams in the English Premier League half of them have betting companies as shirt sponsors.

If the Panthers didn't keep one offensive lineman for 2020 it wouldn't make me cry.

When was the last time the Patriots & Bama lost on the same weekend? Needs to happen more often.

I think it came up again in the Thursday night game: I am simply amazed at the poor job both college and especially pro teams do with late-game (or late-half) clock management. Getting a delay of game penalty or having to take a timeout to avoid one - at any time during a game - is bad enough, and is usually inexcusable. But the worst IMO is, as an example, when the clock is running and under a minute left, and the obvious call is a timeout. Instead, the clock runs down, the offense runs around like headless chickens, and only when 30 precious seconds have come off the clock and a delay of game penalty is imminent does the coach call a timeout. Things like this, or variations of it, are too common and drive me nuts...
Saw yet another example of this in tonight's Patriots/Texans game... New England - down by plenty but not quite out of it - had 4th and maybe 9 around Houston's 20 or 25 yard line with just under 5 minutes to go and the clock running. Being down by 28-9 at that point, a field goal wasn't really an option, so the logical moves are, in order of best to worst:

1) Run your 4th down play as quickly as reasonably possible. Don't rush it, but don't lollygag.
2) If #1 isn't an option, then call a timeout as soon as possible.
3) Failing either of those, use wisely the precious time that's ticking away, and run that damn 4th down play.

Under no circumstances do you resort to "option" 4, which is let the play clock almost expire before you realize that, for whatever reason, you don't want to run a play and have to call a timeout in order to avoid a delay of game penalty.

The Pats went with option #4. Absurd. And we're not talking about a young QB and inexperienced coaching staff. We're talking about Brady, Belicheck, and the Patriots! Unbelievable.

Coaches and players are idiots on the whole. How often do you see a timeout called to avoid a delay of game on a 3rd and 25 or something? I've seen a team call one while on their own two yard line.

Tom Brady is 29th in comp %. Behind Trubisky, every starter in his division, rookie Daniel Jones, benched backup Mason Rudolph, and .0004 ahead of Gordon Minshew.

Still not buying the Patriots demise. Until I see them eliminated in the playoffs, I am still sitting on them in the Super Bowl. The Ravens are human and can stumble just like the Pats. Call me snake bit and beating a dead horse, but nope, not buying it. I have seen the Pats die too many times just to come back from the dead. It seems Brady and Belichick, at some point, go "Wait a minute?! We're the Patriots!" and they're right back on top.
Just for good measure...do I want to see the Pats gone. YES! Yes, I surely do!

I don't doubt Belicheat. But I am beginning to think Brady won't come out of his corner at the next bell vs Father TIme.

Number of returning coaches in the NFC East in 2020. over/under # is 1.

Can Buffalo win out, thus winning the division and send NE on the road in the WC round?

Has Brian Flores done a great coaching job?

Has Mike Tomlin done a great coaching job, or does the AFC just suck?

Take away 2 games vs the Bengals, the Ravens win streak has come vs teams w/a combined 44-15 record.

I think Shurmur and Garrett have gone, unless Garrett pulls off a miracle. Callahan is interim and done nothing to keep the job, only leaves Pederson

Got a soft spot for Buffalo with there SB defeats but my mind says no.

I'd say very good+, all depends on the draft next year but I'd be optimistic if I was a Dolphins fan.

Actually I'm surprised, I didn't rate Tomlin with the weapons he had. imo he's done a better job with poorer tools.

Take away teams with a losing record and Dallas haven't won a game.

I would think not as I don't believe Buffalo is not that good.

They're 6-6, that's what average teams do. Beat the crap teams and lose to the better one's. That said, the only team Buffalo beat with a winning record are the Titans, and they beat them when they were 2-2. IF they played them next week I think they'd lose. They're no better than the Cowboys except they haven't checked out, like the Cowboys.

The Patriots beat two teams with winning records, the Bills and Pitt. Not exactly power houses. That doesn't matter as they'll be in the AFC Championship regardless.

I know nothing is guaranteed in the NFL, but the patriots beating the bills at home in an important week 16 game seems pretty close to it.

Well of course. The Patriots were in 8 AFC Championship games in a row.

I don't get why the Vikings didn't challenge that interception early in the 4th quarter. Although it wasn't called on the field, it was clearly interference. Unlikely to be overturned by the NFL's ridiculously murky replay rule? Yes. But at this point I think you have to at least give it a shot.
